About
The NZIIP is an incorporated society founded to promote professionalism in intelligence practice within New Zealand.
We exist to provide benefit to our members who are drawn from a wide range of intelligence practitioners working in diverse roles within the fields of national security, defence, law enforcement, compliance, business, academia and information technology.
Our Vision
The vision of the NZIIP is to act as a guardian and impartial representative of the intelligence profession in New Zealand by:
- Championing high standards throughout the profession
- Supporting the professional development of practitioners
- Providing impartial representation and relationship building
- Facilitating vital domestic and international links
- Building trust within the intelligence community and the New Zealand public.
Our launch
The NZIIP was officially launched in August 2008 at its Inaugural Annual Conference held at Te Papa museum, Wellington, with the New Zealand Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Helen Clark, delivering the opening address.
