Joining the NZIIP at this stage provides you with the opportunity to set the foundational thinking, direction and strategies for the institute, to ensure that you and your profession get the greatest benefit from this professional body. In return you get to network with intelligence professionals from diverse roles and disciplines, share ideas and build the knowledge and relationships which will enhance your daily work and your future career.

Corporate membership does not include personal membership, but does allow corporates to have representative attend NZIIP events.

Corporate and Associate members do not possess the right to vote or seek or hold office.

    Summary of Criteria for Membership

  • A New Zealand resident with a minimum of 3 years service in an intelligence role or intelligence-related duties in government, the military, or law enforcement in New Zealand. Equivalent overseas service may be taken into consideration.

    A New Zealand resident engaged in an intelligence role for less than 3 years; or currently in an intelligence-related role or intelligence related research in private or academic enterprise in New Zealand. The Committee has discretion to consider non-resident applicants.

    A group, organisation, corporation, authority, government and/or quasi-government instrumentality or institution that is engaged in providing intelligence or intelligence-related products and/or services in New Zealand or abroad; so long as it is not affiliated with any political party, creed, sect, race or religion.
