The Intelligence Community Shared Services support both the GCSB and NZSIS and have an opportunity for an Employment Relations (ER) Advisor to join our People and Capability team.
In this role, you will provide employee relations advice and support, assist the team with collective bargaining, dispute resolution and finding solutions across a range of ER matters.
You’ll be engaging with a wide range of people both internally and externally so your ability to build positive working relationships will be vital.
Our ideal candidate will have a background in ER or HR preferably in the Public Sector and –
- Experience dealing with current employment legislation
- An insight into collective bargaining and dispute resolution
- Top quality communication skills and excellent attention to detail
- A high level of self-motivation and organisational skills

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
You must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance. Ordinarily to obtain this level of clearance candidates must have a 15 year checkable background in countries where meaningful and reliable checks can be undertaken. Where requisite checks are unable to be made, the candidate application may not be able to be progressed.
