Delivering strategic and transformative change projects and programmes is key to our success and as the Programme Delivery Manager; you will be accountable for the delivery of a range of complex projects and programmes through your team of project professionals.

You will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to direct reports including the management of their development and performance.  A key part of your role is to build a positive team culture and grow your people, so you’ll be experienced in developing diverse talent to build individual and team capability.  You will proactively manage people performance to bring out the best in your team and deliver high quality results.

You’ll need to be flexible in your approach to project management methodology, and understand how to tailor the delivery approach to provide the right amount of rigour. Your role will involve championing and growing the change profession in the NZSIS. You will be a credible change professional with a strong focus on people and building partnerships with the business. Ideally you will have:

  •  Significant experience in frontline personnel management and building high performing teams
  • Significant experience in programme management across a complex portfolio
  • PRINCE2/PMP and MSP/MOP certification
  • Superior relationship management and communication skills

You will work closely with and support the Change Delivery Manager to manage the NZSIS’s strategic change roadmap, while working through your team to deliver components of it. This means you need to be equally adept at thinking strategically to help navigate for the future as well as at a detailed level to track your team’s activities.

Successful candidates are required to hold a valid TS or TSS security clearance at the time of their application and be available to start as soon as possible. A secondment may be considered depending on the home agency approval.
