Senior Intelligence Analyst New Zealand Police - Police National Headquarters

The Gang Intelligence Centre based at Police National Headquarters are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Intelligence Analyst on an 18-month fixed term contract.


The Gang Intelligence Centre is a multi-agency unit hosted by New Zealand Police. Its purpose is to provide a holistic understanding of the harm being caused by and to our New Zealand Adult Gang community, to identify prevention and intervention opportunities which enable communities to achieve better outcomes and reduce harm.


You will be innovative in your thinking, enthusiastic, and able to develop high trust and effective relationships with our people, our leaders, key stakeholders and partner agencies.


While technical skills are important to us, team fit is just as important for this role. You will be working in an open-plan, fast paced and collaborative environment with a diverse range of individuals, requiring you to have an open mind, empathy, and a commitment to maintaining a positive team culture.


The primary focus for this role is to lead a project relating to organized crime, community harm, dysfunction and indicators leading to a lack of wellbeing. This will require great relationship development skills, determination, innovation and a good knowledge of data analytics. You will be utilizing a variety of data sources to support the production of quality product that will inform and support the development of prevention and intervention initiatives.
