Central Region Presents: Beyond the Post: Leveraging OSINT for Behavioural Threat Assessments

Date and Time: Friday 23rd May, 1pm-2pm
Location: Department of Internal Affairs | Te Tari Taiwhenua, 45 Pipitea Street, Wellington
Online: Via MS Teams

EVENT UPDATE: This event has seen high demand and we are now at capacity for our current venue. We are operating a waiting list for those who wish to attend in-person. If you still wish to register for in-person attendance, you will receive an update on whether a spot is available no later than Wednesday 21 May.

Join us for a session on the use of open-source intelligence (OSINT) in behavioural threat assessments. This talk will provide practical guidance on triaging online threats, identifying warning behaviours, and evaluating indicators of capability and intent through publicly available information.

The session will be delivered by Jarrod, Lead Intelligence Analyst at Signal Corporation, a New Zealand-owned company providing OSINT software and services for threat monitoring, investigations, and situational awareness. Signal works internationally to safeguard a range of organisations—including critical infrastructure providers, government departments, media outlets, professional sports teams and more.
