COVID-19 Response Group Insights and Reporting Analyst Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) - Wellington

  • The Analyst provides strategic insights to support the government’s COVID-19 response and recovery.
  • The role focuses on developing strategic intelligence assessments that offer key insights related to COVID-19 across a range of topics including social, health, economic and international.
  • You will provide analytical intelligence expertise and a strong understanding of strategic analysis.
  • It will also require you to establish and maintain effective stakeholder engagement across different government departments.
  • In order to be successful in this role, you will bring the following attributes:
    • Experience working in an analytical role, preferably within the intelligence community, or a similar field.
    • Experience creating reports for Ministers
    • Experience producing forward-looking strategic assessments which identify implications for decision makers.
    • Experience in critical thinking, and preferably experience using strategic analytical tools.
    • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills including experience building and sustaining strong strategic relationships with government agencies, and other key stakeholder groups.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex and challenging environment.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The Insights and Reporting Team’s core role within the Group is to provide strategic insights across key areas of the COVID-19 response and recovery through detailed analysis. The team engages with multiple agencies across government and the public sector.
