We have an opportunity for an experienced Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor to join our busy team. This is a newly created position and there will be plenty of opportunity for you to implement new ideas and processes.
In this role you will provide Health, Safety and Wellbeing advice and support to a diverse range of customers. Working across a range of Health and Safety services you will assist with incident reports, workstation assessments, partner with our internal network groups and promote sustainable health, safety and wellbeing initiatives.
Playing a crucial role in empowering our staff, you will ensure people report unsafe work practices and the continuous improvement of health, safety and wellbeing across complex work groups. Your ability to build strong relationships across stakeholders and provide a high level of customer service will be vital.
We are looking for someone who has a pragmatic approach to health and safety and has:
- Proven experience implementing and supporting Wellbeing practices
- An in-depth working knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act
- Previous experience in hazard identification and assessments
- The ability to find solutions to complex problems
- A high level of self-motivation and organisation skills

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
You must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance. Ordinarily to obtain this level of clearance candidates must have a 15 year checkable background in countries where meaningful and reliable checks can be undertaken. Where requisite checks are unable to be made, the candidate application may not be able to be progressed.
