In this role you will be sitting within a small, highly performing team, with the opportunity to be a major contributor in the development and support of assessments of national security risks for external and internal customers.

This role will offer you a diverse and interesting mix of work that spans multiple technology domains. Your focus will be building working relationships with sector specific partners and providers such as operators in the telecommunications sector, providers of launch vehicles and spacecraft payload operators in the space industry and evaluating large and complex business transactions as part of the New Zealand Overseas Investment Act.

You will have a background in Telecommunications or a vendor related industry, with strong connections to the ICT industry in New Zealand. Your mature understanding of the industry market pressures, technology developments and security landscape will be well utilised.

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven oral and written communications skills and be able to present effectively to a variety of audiences from technical engineers to executives.
  • An in-depth knowledge of information technology security practises, threat vectors and industry insight.
  • A broad understanding of business structures and some knowledge of the underpinning legal frameworks used in acquisitions and mergers.

This knowledge will be complimented by your proven success in mentoring and leading teams and your ability to engage and influence people.
