Why become a member?

NZIIP membership offers you the opportunity to build professional networks, learn, share knowledge and contribute to making the intelligence profession the best that it can be.

Members meetings are held regularly in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch where the majority of our members are based. Members in other locations are encouraged to be proactive in arranging local meetings for their area.

These meetings are a great opportunity to meet with colleagues in the profession, hear their stories, share ideas, discuss the issues which we have in common and build networks which will help you in your current and future work.

There are two application forms for membership:

  • Individual membership, intended for anybody who is an intelligence professional meeting the criteria set out in our rules, and
  • Corporate membership, intended for those businesses connected to and working with the intelligence community which meet the criteria set out in our rules.

Membership renewal

Annual membership subscriptions are due for payment by 31 July each year. You can renew your annual subscription on-line here at any time prior to 31 July.

Please note that members who have not renewed their subscription by 31 July will become inactive and may no longer receive notification of NZIIP events or be eligible to attend those events. Failure to renew subscriptions will result in membership lapsing.
