Regulatory Intelligence Handbook

Regulatory intelligence is a core function within regulatory agencies and public service organisations that helps them anticipate and assess risks, identify emerging trends, and understand compliance behaviours—so they can act quickly and effectively where it matters most.

The idea for this book came from three dedicated NZIIP members who are also regulatory intelligence practitioners. Abi Bloy, Kim Beaumont and Alexandra Neems volunteered to create this resource to support their own teams and the wider community. The Institute endorses it, and is proud to add it to the existing library of Institute resources. The Board is grateful to the authors, and to the wider teams who supported them in this work, and hopes that the community finds this a useful and insightful publication.
