The New Zealand Institute of Intelligence Professionals cordially invites you to attend a discussion with Dr Vica Papp on forensic linguistics and its application to intelligence.
Dr Papp (amongst their many areas of expertise), is a subject matter expert in forensic voice comparison and authorship, and they regularly provide expert testimony as a witness within the legal system. They are the elected president for the New Zealand Branch of the Australian & New Zealand Forensic Science, and also the Vice Chair for Digital Identity New Zealand. In their day job, they are employed by MBIE as a Principal Data Scientist in MBIE’s Identity Services Team where they test, tune and monitor identify matching engines in the static biometric and biographic domains. Dr Papp will describe their work as a forensic expert witness for voice comparison, authorship analysis, and how their work can be applied in an intelligence context.
