It is a core belief, central to the Institute’s strategy, that diversity, inclusion, and equity are not just ethical imperatives, but are also foundational components for achieving excellence in intelligence practice. It was this belief that led to the development of a Diversity and Inclusion Work Package, that aimed to baseline the understanding of the composition of the intelligence sector.
The results were released and presented at our 2021 Annual conference. The information was presented to senior leaders across the industry, providing them with robust data to help target future initiatives. It has also enabled the Institute to plan courses, training, networking and professional development opportunities to better meet the needs of the people we represent.
